Herpes & Cold Sores - Use Toothpaste to Cure Cold Sores

Cold sores are a contagious, communicable disease that spread through skin contact and touch. Mouth sores (mouth herpes) are among the most common forms of this infestation, though it may affect the fingers and eyelids as well.

While there's no easy cure for herpes & cold sores, one home remedy that actually "cools" the infected skin area, is toothpaste.

Firstly, wash the infected sores with an anti-bacterial liquid to sanitize it off germs and bacteria. Ointments with alcohol content in them also work well, if you don't have an anti-bacterial liquid.

Next, apply a good amount of toothpaste on the sores till it hardens and dries. Leave it for 3 days before washing off. The sore blisters turn to crust, leaving new skin to form.
