Toddler Discipline Techniques - Yelling At Toddlers Is NOT A Discipline Technique

An Australian study has confirmed what most parents secretly knew: Yelling and arguing with toddler behavior issues does not create lasting discipline. Kids will be kids, and tantrums are second nature to tots who defy both reason and logic.

The only way that you, as a parent, can realistically expect your toddler to listen to you is by gently disciplining him.

Gentle does not mean weak and discipline does not have to be harsh. It means mature and firm.

When you are gentle, the reprimand has the desired effect. It may be slow & difficult at first, but toddlers listen, toddlers understand, and the difference between right and wrong becomes more clear to their impressionable minds.

Hostile parents create hostile kids. It's not a healthy environment for kids, parents or the society we live in.
